Does anyone know what the story is for first years? Is there a particular DIT you go to for this or is it the one your course is held in? Do you just show up? Details would be very much appreciated.

If it's for your registration and orientation day that you're talking about then on the morning of the orientation day you go to the campus that you'll be spending the year at. When ya arrive there'll be students union people around in green t-shirts at the entrances. Ask one of them, tell them what course you're doing (know the course code too) and they'll be able to tell you where you should be going.

That's how it worked last year anyway.

    Hi Roseanna,

I was talking with staff in Applied Arts today. You'll be doing your induction with the students in journalism and media arts in Aungier St. According to the website the induction for the BA in Photography DT559 will start on Weds, Sept 16th at 10am in Rm 5034 (fifth floor of Aungier St). During the induction you'll meet your academic staff, the Students' Union, Campus Life and you'll probably get a tour of the library etc.

During the day (lucky old you), you'll take a trip over to Mountjoy Square to register and get your student card etc. That will take place in the Computer Labs – Rooms 211/212 (2nd Floor), DIT Mountjoy Square.

Hope that helps. If I get my hands on an actual timetable I'll let you know!

No Prob! Hope to see you at induction! We're trying to get more Photography students involved in DIT News (the student newspaper) so we'll be in drumming up support during induction!

Well, I'd be interested in that anyway! I'll probably come find you to find out more. Haha. Thanks again.
