Thanks - and well played yourself. You were unlucky to finish 4th, but the €360 prize money helps make up for it. Spare a thought for Donal, who managed to 'bubble' in 5th and got nothing.

Great game last night, and I was very impressed with my first visit to the Cue Club. Really, really nice spot - if not a little difficult to find. That Cork gang were some 'craic' - great bunch of lads. Took the bad beat of 99 v set (runner runner flush) 'reasonably' well considering how crap the call I made was.

Anyway, now that I've got my ticket - see you in Killarney.

    ????

You sound like the guy that I got to push AIPF with KJs on the SB when I slow-played my AA on the Button late in the final table. I got what I deserved with J on the flop and J on the turn. Bah Humbug!!!!

If yes - I appreciate you taking out JMac in 4th place with your monster stack to finish the game. If not - them I'm doomed to die as death as slow and painful as my slowrolling. Bah Humbug 2!!!!

My education in poker continues ........... man, this is a fun game!!!

congrats also IrishKestrel... well played ;)
& as for J Mac you slipped up there big time with only 5 blinds remaining!
hopefully coughing up another few quid will have taught you! (joke)

and thinking oof it afterwards IrishKestrel if you button raised and wit my stack only sitting on 12k i prob would have went also wit my KJs!!

Ooohh! Were you the big stack (w/KK) that ran into the set of 7s. IIRC - 2 players got knocked out in that hand at the final table. You were 2nd Chip Leader up against the Chip Leader? Ouch!!!

    Unlucky mate.

Sure twas a coinflip about the deal or not. Kestrel was low & I was low so I was reasonably happy to take the gamble about which one of us would be knocked out next.

I'll take my K8 & 6 BB's against an agressive button raiser with a big stack any day off the week. In hindsight I should av probably taken the deal but what is done is done. I have my ticket now all be it at an extra cost, but like I said half price is better then full price.

There were 23 other players who went home dissapointed. WallyMC I'm taking it u r the guy who busted me in 4th with K10 yes? GG neways.

yeah. i should have just folded and i could be wronging the guy with the 777 as i was told yesterday by another guy that he was genuinely considering folding as he thought he had enough chips to get the ticket regardless

Still if it was me in that position i wouldnt have gambled but thats just my own opinion!
And as for K8 against 6BBs?? dunno where your coming from there!
and i take it your talking about me as the agressive button raiser so you then put in your chips with K8 at best you must think your 50-50 or with live cards? so if thats the gamble your always willing to take then go ahead!
But from playing so tight all night as you did why commit all your chips and your tournament with K8??

Dont mind you making a move with it but it was a call from my raise?

and yes i am WallyMc who took you out 4th!!

GG to you to mate and hopefully will be talking to you soon!!

    ;)

Well I'm not waiting to get blinded & anted off and u can b raising any hand there. I cud v well b up against low pocket pair, any ace, etc.

I can't exactly sit there & wait for Pocket Aces with 6 BB's.

Of course ideally I would rather push then call a raise, but sure if you have AT as opposed to KT I'm not in terrible shape.

Anyway we will agree to disagree. Poker would be very boring & robotic if everyone taught the exact same way ;).

Up the Kingdom for Sunday :).

    Dream on!

It'll go the same way as the Satellite in the Cue Club Killarney,

3 Tickets: Cork 2, Kerry 1 (assuming the other big stack guy was even from Kerry).

    C'mon the Rebels!!!

Ya Da Chief (d otha big stack) is a Cue Club regular alrite.

Cud b wrong but think he is living in Farranfore (bout 10 miles from Killarney).

We must invade 1 of d Cork clubs sum nite now for revenge ;).
