Anyone have Sky+ Remote record working?

Has anyone manage to get the sky+ app or tv plus running properly on their iphone? I can't get my sky+ box to register the account properly. Just says technical difficulties the whole time?

Is there a work around?

Yeah have it working with mine and its a great app. Check your sky account and make sure remote recording is set up on that.

I'd like to get this up and running on my iphone .. but I have an NTL landline .. can a sky+ box dial from this to set it up ?

Mine works and it is not connected to a landline.

Another recording programme is TV Plus.

This has a better interface and it is easier to find programmes.

Any ideas as to why I can't get my sky+ to recognise my account? It tries dialing the freephone number but says it fails, then I add in my info manually and it says "we're experiencing tech difficulties at the moment. please try again later".

Would love to get this up and running. Does Tv Plus require this to be set up too?

Was your box connected to a land line at set up stage? I thought it was too much hassle to have run a phone line from upstairs but will do a temp one if its only needed for set up!

It finds the UK set up for the Sky box on mine i.e. channel 101 is BBC1 rather than RTE! etc. Anyone know if this can be changed? When I set a programme to record it just sits "searching".......

Just downloaded the Sky+ App & it worked immediately. Its excellent.

I was previously registered with SKY on their website & I had often tried to use Sky+ with my old mobile phone.

I only succeeded a couple of times as it was a very cumbersome process. Plus the fact that they charged 60 cent per attempt, whether I succeeded or not!

When I installed it first I could get TV plus to work when sky+ would not.

I have both working now.

THere is a setting that you can change which sets the region of your sky box.

Got TVPlus last night, brilliant for €1.79. Literally up on the planner within seconds.
