Registration for 1st year students was on friday. Doesnt matter if ya miss it. College officially starts on the 8th of September. You can get your wit card from the wit card office any time of the year, just ask any1 around the college where it is and they'll show ya.

Emm... you don't need a new card every year. In fact I still have my original one from 6 years ago and could still use it if I wanted to (just not with all the RFID things I would guess).

Just to clarify a few things.

Its €15 for a WITCard for new students. I think its €20 if you need it replaced at any stage. For fourth year students and older - you may be granted a free WIT Card as they do get damaged over time. Call into the WIT Card office and ask at the desk, you will need your student number for this.
Your WITCard remains with you for the lifetime you are in college and does not need to be purchased ever year etc.

The new WITCards no longer have the chip. The older cards did. The WITCard is used for some rooms in the college, printers, library enterance, front car park enterance, spar etc. See this thread for additional information.

If you misplace your card or forget it, there are reloadable WITCards which are limited to use in the shops and canteen. It does not give you access to rooms, printers and other areas which are WITCard restricted.
