Just wondering if anyone has heard back about their grant application for plc courses.

Is a mature student living independently (with or without a spouse) assesed as adjacent or non-adjacent rate?

Also if the grant is awarded how is it paid. I was told by a member of staff that it is paid montly into your account. Is this correct?

mature students are automatically entitled to the non-adjacent rate regardless of the level of grant awarded.

    Non-adjacent rate for mature students.

I contacted DLRCOCO and they said that it will be paid in three installments throughout the year and that it will be paid into my bank account.

When I filled in the SA1 Form (I'm studying in the UK), it stated that the grant will be paid to my College and I get it from there. I'm not sure if they've updated their forms but I think it's always said this yet I've always received it in my bank account.

Maybe it'll change this year but either way, you'll get your money ;).

Thanks for the replies - wasn't sure how it worked and was not getting any info from VEC.

Delighted to hear about non-adjacent rate for matures.
