PSP Video issues

    Hey all,

Not fully sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes..

My brother has a PSP (had it a few years) and I've tried three or four different times to get videos on it, to no avail.

I've followed every guide I can find. Transferring the videos, making folders, etc. and although the videos transfer to the PSP, they're only actually visible on my PC, and the PSP refuses to recognise that their even is a video on it's memory.

Can anyone help me figure this out. I've tried before, as i said, but I just get so annoyed at it and give up all the time. I'm considering trying my luck at it once more, so I thought I'd ask on here for some help/advice before getting pissed off at it again.

Thanks to anyone able to help me out here. :)

This may sound like a daft question but, are they the right format? They have to be converted to mp4 first. It's a pain the hoop if you have to convert loads but worth it. I've got family guy series 1-5 on mine at the moment!

Yeah, they were right. I've tried AVI, MP4, WMV and every other format that I can think of to try and get them to work, but they never showed up for some reason.

    Cheers for the reply.

You also need to make sure that they're the right resolution. The PSP screen is 480 x 272, so the videos should definitely play if they are mp4 and 480 x 272 resolution with AAC audio. What program are you using to convert the videos to PSP compatible files? I'd recommend Xvid4PSP (high quality but can take a long time to encode) or PSP Max Media Manager (lower quality but encodes files very fast).

What GothPunk said, also make sure that you aren't puting folders within folders. don't know if Sony have sorted that out yet though. Also try using this to move anything from the PC to the PSP

    Hope it helps!
