Mods I read back over this nad I know it might sound like trolling but it's not, please put this up.

so, when I was 16 I was sitting in my room texting and then noticed that I'd been ever so slightly peeing for a while and my pants were quite wet. Bad huh? Well, it happens now and then, especially around exam time. I only ever had the odd accident growing up. I can only remember wetting my bed at age 5, then wetting myself a couple of times between about 4th and 6th class, wet my bed once around age 13 or 14 and I know I've only had 3 poop accidents in my life, the first being at age 6 then the second was the same time I wet my bed around 13 or 14 then the third was when I developed a food allergy at 18.
Trouble is, since 16 I've started occassionally finding that I've dribbled a little in my pants or bed especially coming up to exams..And I don't think what I described counts as a history of bedwetting or anything does it? I'm not asking for medical advice. if it becomes worse I'll see a doc - I've only had 2 full blown drenched pants or completely soaked bed accidents episodes in the last couple of years. I'm not diabetic either and I drink enough water.

It's just I guess it'd be nice to know that I'm not alone? I feel a little like a baby, stupid as that might sound. I'd just really like to hear that I'm not alone and someone else has gone through similar. Has anyone heard of something like that just happening and then stopping? Because right now when you look at it I'm getting scared of exams to the point I piss myself. What a wimp :(

PLEASE DON'T TELL ME TO JUST SEE A DOCTOR. What I need most is to know I'm not alone here. That other adults have the occassional accident. Please if you or someone you know had this problem did it go away by itself or was there something (other than seeing a doc) you/they did to make it go away?

Sounds liek you are suffering from Stress incontinance.

Happens to loads of people, usually older but you are probably under alot of stress at the mo.
Pantyliners or discreet pads, always etc during exams in school etc would be good to avoid any embarrasing situations.

If it happens alot while you are in bed you may be going to bed with too many fluids in your bladder and your body is emptying them while you are sleeping so try not to go to bed after drinking loads!!!

Also a lack of bladder control is a sign of a bad diet as it happened to me when I was doing my exams and eating junk. I asked a local healthfood shop but If you are too embarrassed try the net.
I think Zinc is helpful, i'll get back to you on that though

If it become painful or you are losing control more often go to the GP as it could be a number of serious underlying problems.

Oh and its nothing at all to be ashamed of Plenty of people have worse problems. Mty bellybutton flesh is rotten for some reason??? There is an embarassing one from me

    See nobody is without them!

....if it becomes worse I'll see a doc...
How much worse does it have too become? IANAD, but I'd say your condition has many possible causes, some serious, some not.

Please go to your GP. [I know you asked not to be told this, but it is the only reasonable advice/answer.]

I too have had sinilar problems. However, to be honest it is dificult to give advice without more info. The symptoms you describe don't help and don't point in a single direction.
Men tend to suffer more often with urge incontinence and women with stress incontinence. Your symptoms are more consistent with the later so I am asuming you are a women. Fecal incontnence is not usually linked to urinary incontinence and is not a common feature of food allergy so that might be a very separate problem. You say you only had three accidents in your life then you say you had two very heavy accidents, soaking the bed, in the past couple of years. A more accurate clincal history would help to give better advice. For instance, is it primarly a problem at night.

If you find that it is limited to obviously stressful times in your life, and you are happy to manage it as such, then I would suggest you use incontinence pads or nappies rather than a normal panty liner. These are readily available in Boots for instance. If necessary, for added security, plastic pants are also available.

I do urge you to go to Doctor. While the urinary incontinence is probably stress related, if it was me, I would certainly want assurance about this.

I've had a cousin with a similar problem and while you say not to tell you to see a doctor he got great assistance from one and suffers only a very mild form of incontinence now
