    Hi Guys
im new on here and a have a small question.
ive been living in galway for about 8 yrs now and do alot of shooting back home still. but the last 3 yrs been doing a bit of duck shooting on the corrib around greenfields. that was fine while living in headford now the other side of the city. just wondering if anyone on here has any idea if there is a closer spot to get on the lake and do a little shooting. i do understand as hunting men we dont want to give out our good spots all i want is a general area where i can get in now and again for a duck or two. tks in advance.

Hi Mike, not trying to sound smart here, but would it not be a case of getting out with a pair of Binocs and try to locate the duck hotspots for yourself, start of with the nearest part of the lake to you and go from there, .I myself will spend as much time watching out for duck flights and feeding spots as I would do shooting sometimes, same goes for pigeons, its all part of hunting;)-good luck!

Mike ive fished the corrib out of oughterard for years and always spotted ducks every time im there, my duckshooting is mostly in stubble fields at this time of year as we have a great holding lake nearby, I shot 4 mallard two nights ago flying in to feed on a small hill pond.Thats my tally so far:D
    Good luck with your endeavours;)
