hey gang im looking to get a set of high profile, grippy tyres for my la pierre rcr 500

im in Dusseldorf at moment with the bike and the roads, and footpath transitions are terrible, the tram lines are vicious etc etc.

    any recommendations would be great.

As your already in Deutschland get to your local bike shop and buy a pair of Schwalbe Lugano 700x23 tyres, they're dirt cheap in Germany and give great grip and puncture protection through any city where there's plenty of obstacles to worry about, however if ur going to be taking your cycling seriously for training then I'd suggest something such as from the Continental GP range or Vittoria Open Corsa's which are the mutz n*tz but very expensive in comparison to the already excellent Schwalbe's

p.s. To avoid getting the piss ripped out of you here why not try posting this within the cycling forum here on boards as they're fairly useful when they want to be!
