Maintenance Grant/ FA1 form

    Hey i'm just wondering, i applied for the maintenance grant and got a letter from Dublin City Vec on the 27th aug saying that my application is progressing to the next stage of assessment. I just need to know if i should have sent in the FA1 form with my mantenance grant application ?
    Or do i need to wait to see if i get the grant first ?

    In my case , I sent the FA1 form after . But as long as its stamped by the college that your going to ... I think you could send it in with your grant app.

    I have already sent in my application for my maintenance grant so should i just send in the FA1 form even though i'm not sure if i'v been given it yet?
    I downloaded it from student finance http://www.studentfinance.ie/mp9527/course-acceptance-forms/index.html but i cant find any place on it that says it needs to be stamped by my college?
    does it also matter that i'm sending it in after the closing date i.e 31st of sept?

    its the page 13 that you have to get stamped not the Fa1 form

    ps the page 13 is a completly diff form and you dont really need it. you only need the fa1 form

    Hey I've just realised I have to send them this FA1 form. I applied for a grant at the start of August and got a letter back near the end of August asking for some documents including a final course acceptance form but the form they included was for a plc course ( I'm doing 3rd level) so I rang them up about it and the woman essentially said it didn't matter but now I've looked it up and it looks like it bloody well does which might explain why I haven't heard anything from them since getting that letter near the end of august:mad:
    Does anyone know if that will have delayed my application and if it'll be ok if I send in the FA1 form now? But if they had needed more stuff I would have thought they'd have contacted me again though?!?

    I'm rellay starting to get sick of this whole process, the waiting time is ridiculous, why one earth don't they accept application forms earlier?? Grants could be awarded before we start college:mad:
