    :confused::( bad news first:-
my BEKO 28" (Bought in 2002) passed away last night:(:(, was a good one.)

Now, an immediate vacancy is available for a 50" Plamsa or LCD+ DLNA technology.. in my living room, price..as per features, joining time, immediately :-)

I remember i had got advised from John Mc in November on buying a 50"~52" but went to recession suddenly,

Now, since the TV is gone, all i have is Kids tv (Sanyo 21") transferred downstairs but kids want it back ASAP.

Hence, RS, JOHN can you please suggest something with DLNA, 50" or bigger, thanks,
My choice was always pioneer (i had seen PDP508X working with perfect everything),

    any suggestions??
i have few models in mind on which i will reply tomorrow just in case (Pana V10, Sony5500,) etc

    thanks

    Astra,

Wow what a step up from the Beko/Sanyos.....

Thanks for the post - you may be in luck......I (possibly) have one 5090 that I can release for you! (possibility only!)

We don't stock Sony or Sammy screens over 50" at the moment - the closest I would have with DLNA etc are either the 47PFL8404 or the stunning 47PFL9664 - if you are interested in these please just drop me a post & I'll PM you pricing.

    ATB,

    Thanks John

I was away for a tour so could not get chance to reply.
I am planing to visit your belfast showroom this saturday.
I am quite a bit (not much) confused/dillemma on which brand,
so best is to ask becuae i have around 10 questions :-);) and want to buy the best,
Here are we at at the monent:-
    The TV minimum criteria:-
    Size: 50 to 60 inch, (52" ideal)
    Freq: 100 Hz to 600Hz (200Hz ideal)
    Scart: 3 to 4 (4 ideal)
    Connectivity: DLNA (DLNA idea)
    Brand: In sequence of preference:
    1) Pioneer (** My dream if all above available like KRP-500A)
    2) Panasonic
    3) LG
    4) Sony
    5) Sharp
    6) Samsung
    7) Toshiba
and no, i am not buying Hitachi:P

Seems like KRP-500 is coming as choice of all.
I have so many questions and do not want to bother you too much:
but what is the difference in
    PDP-LX5090
    and
    PDP-LX5090UT
    and
    PDP-LX5090TB

and also what is Samsung LED 8 series like in terms of money.
    Apology for too many question.
How do you compare to TLC Broadcast in terms of pricing and warranty,
I am sure i will get all or most of the answer on saturady in your showroom but can't wait till saturday,
    cheers
    AC

Got my KRP-500A of JohnMc last christmas and it's frickin awesome. They are as rare as hens teeth now though, you would be lucky to source one anywhere. 5090 is probably a more realistic prospect.

On a serious note, TLC broadcast are sending one but want it from RS if possible as i wanna be a loyal customer of them;)

Nice one, it's a great TV no doubt. I've recently had an ISF calibration and that got the very best from it. Amazing depth and dynamic range and the blacks are unbeliveable. Blurays have some serious pop!!!

Gordon from Convergent AV was doing a few calibrations around the country and I booked him to calibrate my KRP. Not sure if there is anyone ISF certified in Ireland though.

How much will that set you back? Professional Calibration is a mental price ..but if you're spending loads on a TV I suppose it's worth it

Edit: £375 as of October 2007 (on his website) ..ouch!

That would depend on who was doing the calibration and also what sources and display are being calibrated.

    John

Just to conclude this thread that I am getting 5090 from you :p so no more searching,...OH (probably fedup with me showing her KRP500 and 5090 reviews and photos for the last few weeks while we were not even sure of getting one :-) ) just jumped with hapiness on hearing the news of confirmation from John:D

My Beko28" soul can rest in peace.
On a lighter mode, Thanks to Kenny for replying me in 'PM' and virtually telling "NO" :-):-)to any of my 10 short listed models.
    (:)Pioneer KRP500A, Pioneer 5090, Panasonic-G10, Harman Kordan DL 646D, LG-PS8000, Samsung-PS58 B6807, Samsung -LE52 B7500, Samsung -PS50 B850Y) remember kenny:cool:

Also a big thanks to Matt for answering all my questions in shop (He knew I would not buy any of those models since i had 5090 in mind) with smile and great interest, (Matt, you also have chance to get one from John, go'n'get soon before i tell my friends that you got stocks----joking, dont worry, i won't tell friends...) thanks for support mate

    cheers all
