    Moved from Accommodation & Property.

It will very much depend on where the property is, especially the council area. The local development plans(s) may have specific guidlines on how big a rear garden needs to be or how far a property should be from the road or an adjoining property. It may also depend on the number of storeys.

A half acre is standard or average for a rural site with a sewage treatment system. Some PA's have their own individual requirements so you would be better giving them a call.

Similarly urban site sizes will be dictated by what is contained in the Development Plan published by the PA.

Thanks, so who could tell me if it's possible? A Quantity Surveyor? An auctioneer?

Find a good architectural technician in your area and they will be in a position to advise.
