Just starting Law this year at TCD and I'm looking around at different websites of some big corporate law firms.

I notice they all have summer internship programmes, so my question is whether or not they pay you any money, and if a first year law student would have any chance of getting one? :)

They are paid, from what i know between 200e - 400e per week depending on firm. You'd have a better chance of getting one if you were in 2nd or 3rd year because if applying in 1st year you wont have obtained any results to show for yourself when applying. No harm in trying though...but realistically dont expect to get one in 1st year.
