drum and bass?

hi everyone, i couldnt find a drum and bass section so ill post here i love pendulum and some other drum and bass stuff can anyone recommend any other good drum and bass artists?

Don't really know too much about individual artists or albums but I can recommend a few deadly compilations:

Andy C did a great mix for mixmag about a year and a half ago that's really worth hunting out. Also, his facriclive mix with dj hype has some deadly stuff on it.

Goldie's Drum n bass arena mix is worth a look. Has some older stuff on it but also has some newer stuff by pendulum and de like.

Commix's fabric mix is also worth checkin out.

Now all we need is a regular drum n bass night for dublin!

In my defence, I didn't know about this website. My knowledge of what's comin up in dublin clubs is limited to what's on the boards clubbing forum and checking out what's coming up in twisted pepper. will definitely be checking out www.irishdrumandbass.com in the future.

Actually, that's one issue I have. When I first heard about MUD I was hoping that friday nights in twisted pepper were going to be more about drum n bass. It seems to be getting more centred around dubstep. I know it's the way forward and all that but it's kind of disappointing. Anyone else feel the same way?

i wouldn't consider that pendulum rubbish to be drum and bass.

i don't claim to be an expert on drum and bass or anything but I know I have good taste in music. a mate of mine gave me Logical Progression 1 by Ltj Bukem. Really nice, trippy, jungle with fresh crisp beats. Definitely worth a download if you like drum and bass.

+1 for logical progession level 1, classic album...quite alot of mid/late 90's dnb is good.

i'm no expert either, i'd shamefully admit buying the first couple of pendulum 12" tracks like vault, back to you and toxic waste..which at the time i thought were good, but in hindisght, they were always producing cheesy music.

i can argue it was over 5 years ago when i bought them :P

im about to post full details here in the clubbing forum,

regarding regular dnb nights, there have be two running concurrently for the last 2-3 years here on a bi-weekly and monthly basis, granted they sometimes suffer from under exposure, or lack of main stream presence, best thing to do is hit irishdrumandbass.com and see whats happening,

Lot of dnb in Dublin this month: Calyx tonight, Roni size and then Amit next week end, Goldie at the end of the month...and november looks good already:D

that looks like it would have been a deadly night. couldn't make it though.

Actually I just have one small problem with that flyer. Maybe my eyesight's gettin worse but I can't see a venue written anywhere on it.
