Boondock Saints 2 Trailer

As a massive fan of the first film I have been waiting with baited breath for this one. Troy Duffy is an absolute prick and the film Overnight depicts his complete and utter fall from grace.

This looks to be an absolute gem of trashy cinema much like the original. All the original cast return except for Willem Dafoe but Julie Benz is acceptable replacement. For fans of the original keep your eyes peeled for a rather odd shot featuring a certain character who has no right to be there.

I Absolutely love the first one, prob in my top 10 films. This looks great seems to be in the same vain as the orginal.

I see what you mean about
    Rocco
being there even though he died in the first one. Troy Duffy being a **** aside I for one am really looking forward to this one.

Hardly get a cinematic release over here will it?

I'm ashamed to say I've never seen the original, despite hearing loads about it...

    Should I pick it up?!

It's a pity Willem Dafoe isn't in it, he absolutely stole the show in the first. From the looks of Julie Benz' demenour though it seems they're trying to make her the same type of quirky character.

Basquille, yes! Go now and get it ;)

Ya for def get it, Now when I saw it I had no idea it had a little cult following I just flicked onto it on sky one night at like 2 in the morning so maybe anyone who hears about it might not like it as much but its def worth looking at regardless.

If only for Willem Defoe the film is gold.

The film also has one of my fav lines of any film after
    the hotel room shootout
one of the lads says something to the effect that its not like in the movies when you get that one guy who jumps behind the sofa and you have to shoot at him for 5 minutes. ir really made me lol at the time

I would recommend that you get your hands on the uncut American version. There's a very nice 2 disc steel book available which is far superior to the R2 vanilla edition.

Don't go in expecting high art and you won't be disappointed. It's fast, funny, trashy action of the best kind. The performances are all brilliant, the dialogue is like Tarantinoonly less self indulgent, the action scenes are the rival of any big budget action spectacle and the story is fun.

Wow, I thought this was never going to appear, looking forward to it. Not sure about Julie Benz though, I'd say it might suffer without Willem Dafoe, as said, he definitely stole the show in the first.

Looks good. They worked it well the first time, I hope the second's just as awesome.

I wonder if any ripper lines like this will come out:
"Do ya know what we need, man? Some rope. Charlie Bronson's always got rope."

It's just too bad they couldn't persuade Dafoe to sign up for this. I'm less enthusiastic about seeing it now.

I really liked the Boondock Saints but this looks terrible! Am I the only who cringed his way through that trailer?

Can't wait to see this, loved the first one. Anyone have any idea about an Irish/UK release date(when/if), can't find any info on the net. Hope we don't have to wait for a dvd release.

An Irish release will be a long way off, the film is expanding and opening wide in America on November 13th so we'll proberly see it sometime next year on DVD.

I'll be honest I thought it was terrible. Was just shockingly boring; nothing where near the standard of the 1st one.;)

I thought the first was much better too but IMO it's decent enough.

Some of the dialouge like the first one is fairly funny.

For a sequal to an epic trailer, I thought it was great. Didn't like the way it
killed off a character at the end
, though. But it was a good laugh. Way better than the sequal to Smoking Aces :D
