Ok so I am not the best woodworker in the world but I recently took an old desk of mine and adapted it into PC desk using a half sheet of chip board and my carpenter friend to do the work! :pac: I want to add a CD rack to it like this and wonder is it possible to buy the CD rack itself and just screw it into when I want it then?

Sure, just buy the CD rack and don't add the bottom. Place it in the desk top where you want it and draw around the base so you know where you can drill holes. Put 4 holes thtough the desk and then pop a couple of screws up from underneath. Or altenatively don't screw it and leave it free standing on the dekstop, when it is full of cd's it's not going to really move anyway.
