    Hi all,
Just wondering about how to maintain my fitness for the DCM '09 as my beloved is about to have our 2nd child in the next few days and I cant really leave the house. I can manage 20k no problem at this stage so I need a good aerobic workout.

    Thank you

If you are confined to the house with little equipment at hand my advice would be look into devising a simple circuit workout. These can be great for aerobic fitness and while no substitute for running it may help maintain fitness.
    Hope this helps

Get yourself a proper sports skipping robe and head out the back garden. Spend as much time as you can at it. It will keep you on your feet and also aerobically fit

Ger, just work yourself out a continuous 20-minute loop from home. Carry your mobile. No reason why your running should suffer.

I'm sure Ger will let you tell his heavily pregnant (and no doubt hormonal) partner that!

I'm sure Mrs Ger the man would sooner get him out from under her feet for a bit. Anyway it's a chance for a bit of speed training if the phone rings :pac:

Her: 'Oh no, we're out of nappies!'

You: 'I'd better go get some. You know what? With traffic here, parking and everything, I'll be faster running.'

One run later (after a sneaky extra 15mins on the way to the shop)...

You: 'Here's the nappies, there was a massive queue. Here, I got you a bar of chocolate aswell. You look great by the way, unbelievable how quick you're losing the baby weight. I'll get the dinner started. Oh if you're looking for the hoover, I put it away after I finished with it.'
