    Hey all
I am a singer and songwriter looking to record an E.P over the next few weeks.
I have only recorded in one studio so far.
It was fine but not amazing,I am basically just a guitar and vocals and am lookin to lay down a few tracks!
    Any suggestions?
    Cheers

again a definite price range would help as prices can range from 100 a day to 1000+ a day!

I could handle around one hundred a day
Would probably only need about 2 days, wanna keep it minimal

Just remember the old saying "You get what you pay for".

Push the boat out if you can to get the best quality you can afford. It's an EP you are doing rather than a demo.

If you can't afford more now, it might be worth waiting a few weeks or months to get enough together to do your music justice. You'll be glad you did in the long run.

    helpfull stuff right there

C Diddy, personally, I think you have 2 options here.
1- Put money into it and have a well produced great sounding EP.
2- Do it on the cheap.

If you have confidence in your stuff go with option 2. IMO the last thing this planet needs is another well polished singer songwriter record. Find a mate with pro tools and be creative, make it interesting.
It probably comes down to your style though. Do you want to sound like Bon Iver or Bon Jovi?

There are more recording studios than musicians these days. just go online and have a look. shouldn't be a problem to find something decent, though for 100 per day, you might wait a bit, or do it at home.
    cheers.

€100? Hell why don't you just go buy the gear and record it yourself?

    look,

if you are proper musician who cares about your music and your talent
save up and do it properly .

get a cheap recorder to polish the songs as much as you can before hand

    then do it properly

why work to hard to be good , then record it badly ?
