Just to let everyone know that Dublin Indoor Sports are running a mixed basketball league, very friendly, every Thursday night from Sept 17th, based in rathmines, check out www.dublinindoorsports.ie I joined this summer and loved it. Made new friends, played basketball for the first time in 15 years, got fitter and loved it!!

how much does it cost for a season and is there any training involved or just game play?

what else is out there in terms of alternatives? I am 32 and just gave up rugby and want to start basketball (good work out but no collision injuries). I am very fit and competitive but have never played... would this avenue be good for learning the game with a view to playing competitively at some point?
