Underqualified for job - Yet still called in for interview. Why?

Ive recently got an interview for a position that I applied for over 4 months ago. The problem is the area that it involves I have really only touched on in my previous employment and I pretty much know for a fact that I do not have the knowledge to do the job.

However my CV also shows this fact, I did not lie in the CV, so why would they be calling me in for an interview knowing that I probably dont have enough knowledge to do the job, also why after 4 months?

The thing with the company is, they do have other jobs available (that they are currently advertising) that I probably would be more suited for, should I just tell them that in the interview that I am actually not very skilled in the area they are interviewing me for, but that I am more suited to another position they are advertising? or is that probably why they are calling me in as it has been 4 months since I applied?

How should I approach this? As I already know I probably wouldnt be able to do the position they are interviewing me for, and I dont think I could bluff my way through it as it is pretty exact (you either know it or you dont)

I was in a similar position once and they said in the interview that they had a different more junior role that would suit me and asked if I would be interested. I got that job.

Just to clarify this is a junior(ish) position they are interviewing me for, but it is based on an area I have not worked in. The other position I would be suited for is a higher up position but I have experience doing it.
What if they dont mention about the other positions they have though? Should I say it? I'd feel like an idiot going through this interview knowing I have no experience/knowledge in the field they are interviewing me for.
