Car Alarm Question...

Well folks i'll be getting a new car VERY soon and there seems to be a fairly standard alarm on it, it's the type of car that would appeal to the young theives around the place lets say!

I want to put a better alarm in the car, I was looking at Clifford but can't find someone to fit em, I had a number from a guy and he only fits K-9 alarms, are they any use? He said he's a good fitter and it has loads of extras, It has a pager but no proxy sensor, is the proxy sensor more hassle than its worth?

What should I be looking for to be fitted? A friend of mine has two buttons behing his gearstick and has to put a cade in everytime he drives it, are these more trouble than their worth?

    Any advice would be great!

    Graham,

Check out Sound Decision. They're based in Clondalkin, but will come out to you. We all use them for all of our phone kits/alarms etc, and we swear by them.

    I'll pm you the details!

These are the guys I use. Could probably get the fitter to do a nixer for ya.

    Haven't a clue what's best though

They come to me! Head fitter lives 5 mins from the office so loves doing the 09.30 or 16.30 appointments. I've been using them since 2006 and introduced them to 2 other fleet companies -they look after me :p

Happy days so! It seems everyone uses someone different in Dublin! I'd be very uncomfortable using anyone else for one of the big customers in here...

Yep - but if you don't have cover I'm sure I could find a spare corner in our huge empty garage and get it done here.

Begs the question - what the hell are you doing getting a performance car to commute from da northside to citywest?

But that's not using the M50! I used to do Leopardstown to Stamullen every day in an Octy VRS - that car no likey stop start traffic. Can't imagine the clutch on Grahmo's new mo mo (or his left leg) will take it too kindly either.

Its from Navan Road to Citywest! Not Balbriggan to Dundrum!

I normally drive through Lucan but I'm gonna invest in one of the M50 tags now...don't wanna ruin my suspension on the Strawberry beds every day! I start work at 8 and finish at 4.30 so I pretty much miss the M50 traffic, and also I only travel as far as Blanch on the M50! So it'll be grand!!!

The petrol shouldn't bee too bad, if it was a Turbo of some description then it probably would, but I aint gonna be drivin to work at 7k rpm!!!

And Stu, you live in Stamullen?! I've family that live in the orchard

Sure, that's not too bad then.

Wish my commute was as short as Balbriggan to Dundrum :o

Used to live in Stamullen - Gracemeadow. Ended up moving further away and in Drogheda now!
