Its a high risk small cap pharma stock that has no real income. It really is up to how confident you are it will pass FDA approval. The type of product it has though looks quite straight forward.

On the downside look at ctic it has just had a problem with the FDA.

This look at BioElectronics Corporation (BIEL) is a follow-up to our August 12th look, with which we pointed out that BIEL shares were approaching the tip of a wedge and were going to be forced out - one way or another.

Initially (for about a day) BioElectronics hinted at an upside move. The next day, and every day since then, BIEL was sliding lower. The bleeding may have stopped, however, at a major support level. The bar gave us a reversal clue as well.

One of the other ideas we mentioned on the 12th regarding the chart of BioElectronics Corporation was the Fibonacci retracement lines; the one of most interest was the 38.2% retracement at $0.059. Care to guess where BIEL closed yesterday after hitting a low of $0.055? It ended the day at $0.61, and is inching higher today. The Fib retracement may have sufficiently relieved any bearish pressure.

Yesterday's bar from the BioElectronics Corporation chart was also a pretty tall doji, indicating that the bears and bulls reached a volatile equilibrium, and the sellers handed the reigns over to the buyers. This could be an optimal short-term entry point.

CTIC has just plummeted , IDU will be delighted, but that is the risk with small cap pharma stocks they depend entirely on their phase tests results and FDA responses. Any negative result or negative FDA response such as a delay will have a detrimental effect on the stock.

Cell Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CTIC) said today that the FDA has denied
the drugmaker its request for a priority review of its experimental
    cancer drug Pixantrone.
Pixantrone now faces a standard 10-month review, instead of the six-
month review usually granted under a priority review.
A priority review is often only granted to new treatments when no
drugs are available for a particular illness. However, Pixantrone's
rivals may make it to the market before or around the time of the FDA
    action.
CTIC expects a Pixantrone action date by the FDA in summer 2010.

Why would I be delighted about that?

CTIC was distracting you so i would have thought you might be happy to see the back of it... at least for a few months until this hard to kill stock gets a drug approval.
