I am a postgraduate student and I just got my registration pack today.I am supposed to have gotten a Giro form to pay €15 for the WIT card but unfortunately,I can't find it there. My question is,can I pay with cash or is the office only accepting giro/cheque payments?

    Thanks .

    Research or taught post grad?

    "Staff" witcards are free.

Drop into the WITcard office in the atrium and ask the staff there.

I'm sort of in the grey area in between. I have a staff witcard and staff email address but am technically still a student. Just to confuse the issue I have two seperate ID numbers :'D

If you aren't on the payroll I don't think you will be able to get a free card.

That whole student/staff thing is confusing. It applies to all postgrads I thought? If you work in the TSSG for example, you are classed as "WIT Staff". Yet.. you dont actually work for WIT directly.

It should, however you can only get a staff WITcard with a form from payroll. Which you can only get if they are paying you :D

All post grads should be able to get a staff email address and have staff library privileges.

Just started a postgrad myself, we were told that the WIT card is included in the fees that we're paying to study so you shouldn't have to pay for it.
All students that previously completed undergrads in WIT get a card that have the original issue date on it, which is a pain.
