neither. use your instinct. at least then if you get kicked in the arse, its by your own foot.

If it's horse racing I'd only accept tips from someone who works in the industry.

I used to work in a bookies and from what I could see certain people were either amazingly good at predicting every single horse race they bet on, or there's some sort of corruption at play.

    both replies are interesting....

Stevoman....Ok, but then who's opinion would you rather listen too?

Personally, I'd prefer to listen to a bookmaker rather than a tipster...more crediability in my eyes and they've been around for years where as pro punters go skint from time to time...

bookies go broke from time to time aswell!

good question though. personally i'd prefer the pro tipster.

I just feel Professional Punter's *generally* have better reasoning behind the bets.

Listening to Bookies you get alot of "where the money is going" type info.

    just my thinking.

True prendy I make you right, that's normally all a bookmaker says but, if I was to be locked in a room with a bookie and a pro punter and forced to listen to what they had to say about a 2 horse race, and in the end the punter tipped up horse a, and the bookie tipped up horse b, I think I'd go with the bookies selection.

I reckon bookies have so much more info at their disposal....
