Heard great things about Nike Lunar runners. Have had various insoles/orthotics to to correct pronation which has let to host of Achilles, shin and calf problems over last year. Has anyone heard of this shoe, it is meant to correct runners foot each time it hits ground due to some 'nasa' technology. Just another expensive gimmick or a worthwhile investment????

As fas as I am aware (and I have a pair of the Lunar-trainers) they're jsut normal runners designed for a neutral foot.

The 'nasa' technology I think is just light cushioning ie. they are well cushioned but don't have the extra weight normally found in shoes with a lot of cushioning.

There's Lunar-races which are lower ot the ground than the trainers and have a flywire upper (so they're really light)

There's also Lunar-glide which have come out more recently. These are the heaviest of the three and could have some pronation controlling function. I don't know much about them.

They have been out for over a year. Of course people have heard of them.

There's the Lunar Trainer, now being discontinued, and its successor, Lunar Glide. They are geared for everyday training.

Then there's the Lunaracer. To me, that's the perfect racing shoe. Extremely light, but with a surprising amount of cushioning.

What neither of them do, at least in my experience, is "correct runner's foot each time it hits ground". Were did you hear that? The "nasa" technology refers to the very light cushioning foam, but there's no magical cure to correct your foot strike.

Lunar are brilliant. Be careful with the racer. Really small fit. Bought a pair and my fat feet dont suit them. However the glide and trainer are actually quite a wide/big foot. Nothing beats them in my opinion. So have a pair of 8.5 brand new sitting at home if anybody wants!
