Roundabout on the Naul Road

    Anyone know what went down on the roundabout on the naul road last night, drive past at around 9 and there was 2squad cars and a cop van that had pulled people over, thought it was speeding or something till i saw 2garda with some type of guns?
    i looked on rte and breaking news, but no mention of anything.

    It looked like random breath testing to me. The "guns" were the breathalyzer units.

    I know that customs were checking vehicles for green diesel on the Naul/Balbriggan road last night. Maybe that's what it was.

    Customs are normally accompanied by armed personnel.
    Seemed to be mostly vans and jeeps pulled in so could well have been dipping the diesel tanks.
