Believe it or not but there are a lot of people who a) don't have Sky, b) do not subscribe to Sky, c) do not live in Ireland so I am sure that this news is useful for some people.

FYI RTÉ Two is not free on satellite.

Yes, it's FTA. They have been rebroadcasting the RTE feed on behalf of Setanta International. Broadcasting from 1245 to 1740 on Sunday.

I don't know much about bitrates and such, but why is the image quality so poor on the channel compared to RTE on Sky. Also why have the edges of the screen been cut off to make it look like 4:3

I'd doubt it if he doesn't have RTÉ on his sky box.

some people really are unreal, you try to help folks but some slam it back in your face.

lots of people have sky digiboxs for the free channels and don,t subscribe for the pay services, which means you don,t get rte1,2,tv3,tg4.so there for information tv2 channel is very handy for watching the gaa games on satelite.

also very handy for irish folk living in the uk and in other parts of europe to see there home games.
this channel has showed quite a lot of live gaa games,it will also broadcast the all ireland football final with cork v kerry.

hope i,ve helped some people and for the ones that don,t appreciate it 2 fingers up at you:mad:

I've watched a previous match on this channel before - I think it was InfoTV or something like that. The thing that stood out immediately was the crappy picture quality. OK, if it's free and if someone wants to really watch the game then it will do the job. I think it was on Sky 172.
