There is a dunnes and a tesco in rathmines village which you can walk to from halls. I think the tesco is nearer. Not sure if there is an aldi/lidl in walking distance.

There is an Aldi/Lidl there too (can't recall which one!), opposite Tramco nightclub in the village. The Tesco is the nearest, its about a 10-15min walk in.

Use Google maps sure to check! ;)

It is an Aldi, but there is a building site at the minute right oppposite it with a big lidl banner on it.
I'd say its 10 mins to tesco and 15 to aldi. Maybe a bit longer on the way back if you have a lot of shopping.

It's suprisingly far, about 20 to tesco and 40 to Aldi. If you're getting the Luas back from town you can go into Dunnes in Stephens Green shopping centre.
