Maybe im in the wrong forum..if so i apologise.

Basically im trying to join Twitter but everytime i enter a username it tells me its in use. Surely its not this popular that a large number of random user names have been taken. And i mean random...lol

Am i doing something wrong here ??? Any input would be appreciated!!

Maybe you are choosing usernames that are already in use :DStraightforward, just keep changing your username upon registration till you get a green light from the website.;)

If there's a page there, that user name is taken.

I have been through about 50 odd usernames in the past few months trying to join but no go. Ridiculous.

Once you type in the username the system will tell if it's available. Keep in mind that Twitter has millions of users so it's quite possible that your preferred usernames have been already taken so you should compromise with some kinda variation of them.

I had this issue some time back not just with twitter but other sites, the browser was the issue. I cant remember which one might have been IE or Chrome,

Net result:

use portable firefox.

It's entirely possible that your browser is running the code twitter uses incorrectly, try a few different browsers and possibly another PC.

It's very unlikely it's a problem on Twitters side
