I was thinking lately of getting a new Driver and looking through the options I realised I don't really understand what difference a regular or stiff shaft would make to the distance/accuracy of a drive.Maybe someone could enlighten me?

If you have a high swing speed then it is likely that you need a stiff shaft a lower swing speed requires regular. I have a high swing speed and needed stiff shafts which helped improve the consistency of my shots greatly but that was because they suited me. Always best to get fitted to see what suits you and your swing.
