    Hi all,

Ive recently got setup with Permanet Broadband. They supplied me with a cable modem but I want to get a wireless setup. The installer advised me to get a cable router but what I want to know is, will the cable router take the place of the current modem (ie will it connect to the coaxial cable from the panel on my roof) or will I still need to keep their modem and hook it up to the new Wireless cable router so I can have WIFI?

You keep using their modem and get a basic wireless router (without modem).
