    Hi all,

I have returned from Australia this year and after six months still find
myself without work barring 15 hours a week voluntary work which helps keeps me sane.

I worked in accountancy within financial services before I went to Australia and am one and a half to two years away from being professionally qualified in accountancy.

I have been applying for all jobs within accountancy while also applying for jobs I feel capable of performing from sale assistant roles in retail, call centre work to general admin roles.
I have tried cold calling companies with speculative queries but cannot justify sustaining the cost of these calls.

In the main I hear nothing back, rarely even an acknowledgement of application and have gone three months without an interview till recently where I just had two within three days but feel like I am no nearer to being employed.

Apologies for the long post but the reason why I started this thread is to hear from people who have been in similar situations but managed to find light at the end of the tunnel and any constructive advice that they may have.

Any advice at all or possible leads will be greatly appreciated.
