we got refused planning for a replacement dwelling because of our percolation test. Results were T=85 P=38 proposed to use puraflow and raised bed. Planners report says noting about the p test only that the T is considered a fail.

We're thinking of doing the test again and reapplying. Can anyone suggest a system thats paticulary good for our soil conditions.
There is a working septic tank on site we just wanted to upgrade that. suggestions appreciated

    Hi newgirl,

My site failed the p and t test (50+). The engineer specified a raised percolation sand polishing filter and the evirocare p6 pumped system.

Can you improve the drainage by digging a few trenches/drains and run the tests again

Obvious the planning officer has no understanding, should at least asked for further information on how you propose to work it.
Get your preferred supplier to do a design report dealing with the soil and site conditions. Then include site sections with the new application showing the system and pipes.

The site assessor supplied all that relevant information and drawings but the the environment section in Meath say if the T test fails your site is considered to have failed.
The thing is there's already a septic tank there with the existing house we just wanted to replace all that with an up to date system!

    where to now
