TBL: The Beautiful Life [US] **SPOILERS**

This series has been getting alot of hype and promo, and some gossip scandal due to Mischa Barton. The CW will start the series in September. YT have a few promo's and stuff up if you want to check it out.

Well....ok, Gossip Girlon acid?.....lots of flashy quit cutting MTV style editing. Barton...lol, she can surely pass as a model type. She needs to eat a happy meal, or ten.....seriously, these girls are WAY underweight.

Thoroughly unlikeable characters, vapid, shallow, all about the $$$ and the glamour. You know, i'd LIKE these shows to portray the model life a bit more accurately. Sure you have drugs, competitive types and bitchyness in TBL....but it's all style over substance.

Lots of pretty boys and girls hanging out in the zeleb life, you've got the farm boy from Ohio (sic) who gets spotted by an agent, the homecoming queen who makes it big in NY as a runway model.

All tryna find their way, how corrupted will they get?.....you kinda grt the gist of TBL. Will i stick it out?...probably, thats not to say i'm a fan or liked it. Some shows you just watch to watch, this appears to be one of them.

Dire ratings: Things weren’t so beautiful with the premiere of The Beautiful Life which averaged 1.462 million viewers and a mere 0.7/2 with adults 18-49, a 0.8/2 with adults 18-34, and a 1.1/3 women 18-34.

So basically you have two new CW shows tanking, TBL and Melrose Place.....90210 and Gossip Girl also loosing ground. The CW need to re-think their target demo or make better quality shows!

They filmed 6 before The CW pulled the plug and stopped production, but they are not gonna even show the last four eps.????.....i guess TV3 might show all six of them.

Very quick cancellation alright,and the thing is it wasn't even that bad. I reckon they should have paired it with Vampire Diaries. They are both aimed at the same audience,TBL had OC's Barton and one of the guys from high school musical, VD is basically those two and twilight mixed together. Supernatural doesn't hold VD's ratings because it is actually a proper fantasy show,they should have kept it with smallville.

It did seem to be pulled very quick, Wednesdays ep. got 1.09m but the target demo was horrific. They should have at least played out what episodes were filmed and see how things went then.

They will probably get better ratings by repeating some other show though,so no point in playing out the last few eps if the ratings are that bad.

It's official: The Beautiful Life: TBL is dead.
After airing only two episodes, TBL becomes the first casualty of the fall TV season. The show has been immediately pulled from the schedule, and production on the seventh episode was shut down on Friday.
TBL only grabbed 1.1 million viewers for its second episode.
The CW has announced that encores of the new Melrose Place will air in Life's vacant timeslot.

Thing is, they filmed 6 and were filming the 7th when they stopped production Friday....i wonder how many were fully finished?....as in all post production work done?

The network axed the series, which chronicles the lives of models, due to poor ratings after airing only two of the five episodes that were produced. Citing fan requests, Kutcher will put all five episodes on YouTube on Thursday.

"What we feel like we're doing is creating, in some ways, an industry first," Kutcher told Reuters. "A show that couldn't find its legs on television, we believe can find its legs on the Web."

The first two episodes and a third unaired one will run Thursday, while the remaining two unseen episodes will premiere Monday. Thanks to a sponsorship deal with Hewlett-Packard, the episodes will air commercial-free on the video-sharing Web site.

While YouTube content typically consists of shorts or webisodes, Kutcher is confident that TBL's 40-minute episodes will find success and perhaps set a new trend for original, high-end Web content. "I would bargain that people will be willing to sit a lot longer if the picture looks a lot better," the actor-turned-social media impresario said.
