I'm in the process of decorating up a house.....

The genius who lived there previously has wall papered straight onto the plaster board..

What would be the best way to remove it ?
(Was thinking about renting a wallpaper steamer  or would that just damage the drywall ? )

    Thanks..

    ya steamer,
trick is to slowly move the plate along the wall without taking it away from the surface,ie keep the heat on the surface and shuffle it alongright to left is obviously best for right handers, work from top to bottom as the condensation and warm water will run down the wall, maybe softening the paper below
wet the wall first(brush the wall while steamerboils) fill steamer with half boiled and half cold wter, if its a vinyl tear off the front if you can,if its really bad score it with a stanley, score is not digging thru to plaster:eek:
after that it just takes time, good luck
