Beijing - A Chinese lorry driver jumped into the fast-flowing Yangtze River because he couldn't take his wife's nagging anymore.

Zhou and his wife were on a ferry when it all became too much for him, reports the Chongqing Evening Post.

Members of the ship's crew saw the man suddenly run out of his cabin with his hands covering his ears, and shouting: "I can't stand it any longer."

"His wife ran up and continued nagging him," said a crew member.

The husband covered his ears again, said "I need a break", and jumped into the river.

When police found him the next day he reportedly said: "I felt I was dying, but even that's better than my wife's nagging." - ananova.com

Am i the only person that actually tones out their mom/sisters/wife's/girlfriends nagging?

I sometimes don't even hear them anymore because i tone them out.
"Take your feet off the table"
"Put your plate into the dishwasher"
    "Take the bin out"
"take your clothes of the ground"
    "Put your pants back on"

Women need to stop nagging. Nagging means we actually listen less and annoy you more. Relax you'll live longer!

Do you think you tone out/ don't hear women after constant nagging? 55 votes

I'm surprised she didn't jump in after him for embarrassing her like that.
    Why, the shame!

Girl I used to be really good friends with had a mother who kept nagging her Dad from what I've heard, on several occassion called him worthless and said he'd be better off dead or something.
Eventually she (the 16 year old daughter, not the wife) came home from school to find him in the bathroom covered in blood after trying to kill himself.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that this was quite a common occurence.

Nag, nag, nag, curious that this word also means an old beat down horse.

Nagging is a release for the fairer sex, if we didn't allow them this pleasure, they would want to play our x-boxes - don't rock the boat gents, just lie back and think of Blighty.

Mardy Bum by the Arctic Monkeys is one of the greatest songs ever about getting nagged by a woman. Anytime it comes on the radio, Pighead can be seen nodding knowingly after every single line.

If the nagging is getting you down do what Pighead has done. Go on a hypnotism course.

Nowadays whenever Miss Piggy starts to nag, one click of the fingers ends it all and instead of incessant nagging all that can be heard is the gentle relaxing sounds of her sucking Pigheads toes.
