Can anyone give me a reason for leaving my job to a prospective employer???
Im in the banking sector, retail sales, customer service etc. Ive never liked my job. Dont like the sales aspect (pressurised) and agro from customers every day. I would intereview for another customer service role though depending what industry. Any ideas what I could say as a reason for leaving??? Hoping to get an admin job or somewhere along that line.

Just say something like the company downsized and let people go, last in first out etc etc.

I was in a similar situation 2 years ago when voluntary redundancy came up and was wondering what the next employers would think but I was able to come up with some good excuses.
I had transferred to an area outside of my core qualified competenancies and wanted to return to a job involving those competencies.
I was a junior player in the new area, with little chance of advancement among a cohort of more experienced co-workers.
The shift times and changes did not suit me going forward.( Do not use this one when applying for shift work....!)
    You need a change.

Employers do not expect people to stick a job if it really does not suit them.

Avoid personal conflicts etc. as a reason for you leaving.

I'd go with something along the lines of:

"I felt I had reached my full potential in that company"

    or

"As much as I enjoyed working there, I just felt that I needed a change in terms of my own personal development"

    Keep it simple and honest.

I remember once leaving a job because I worked for the most abhorrent man on earth. In interviews for subsequent jobs I was asked why I had left. I used various excuses but one day I just turned around and said "I can tell you that I fancied a change, or that the role just wasnt challenging enough for me...or I can tell you the truth?" and they asked for the truth so I said "My boss was actually the most despicable person I have ever had to endure". I was offered the job that day! Turns out he really had the worst reputation in the industry and he was well known for being a twat - my honesty worked to my advantage in that case but I probably wouldnt do it again!
