    +1

'IT Law and Professional' issues should be scrapped as a module.
Load of irrelevant nonsnese to be honest. I am not doing a law degree.

I imagine a lot of that stuff is because the course has a high number of IT professionals in the business who want to advance to more senior roles in their companies.

But yes, it could be more technical. I'm 4th year and one of the classes has some java (nothing overly taxing to anyone who's programmed before) and some people are totally lost... obviously because the rest of the course had none of this stuff!

Am on 2nd year of this and yes the course does need more technical hands on stuff, I signed up for an I.T. course not an arts degree

Lets just hope that you're not going to invent the same people as me as that would be considered as plagiarism ;)

I was thinking, seeing as Android uses Java for it's programs and the college helps student get required hardware for their project... ;)

I never considered catering my project to getting new stuff.

...granted I'd say you're barking up the wrong tree with cutbacks etc.

Pfft, and you call yourself a student! (<3 the student discounts)

    Anyway, it's worth a shot!

    hi,

in year 1 of this course. What is the recommended C Compiler to use? What is the one being used in the labs? To be honest i have missed a few classes and trying to catch up. A total beginner to C !!!

    Thanks alot

borland c compiler is the one used in the lab.

i much prefer using minGW compiler with CodeBlocks as my IDE. but may be an idea to stick with the lab sessions until you know more about programming.
