Generally they send you a letter. TBH the are awfull at getting in touch! What exams you doing?

they don't. They actually don't respond to most phone calls, emails etc. That's well known by everyone who has to deal with them. They are brutal. Best bet is to call them and they'll probably give out to you for annoying them, and how could you expect them to contact everyone etc. etc.

Well I wouldnt worry at all, books will be delivered to you and your HR will know everything miles before small practices
Honestly I wouldnt give it a second thought.
