    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a bit of advice! I want to buy a laptop - cheap and cheerful, something that I can use for internet with media player and microsoft office - and have been browsing around the dell site, since we have a Dell desktop at home that has served us well for a few years now. Anyway, in choosing all the various components I'm not really sure if I am making the right decisions since I don't really understand the differences between some of the options. Do you think a laptop with the below specs would suit my purposes?

    Intel® Celeron® Processor 900 (2.20 GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 - English
Microsoft® Office 2007 Home and Student/ English - Microsoft® Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint
1 Year Limited Warranty - Collect & Return
    15.6" Widescreen WXGA CCFL (1366 x 768) TFT Display with TrueLife™
    1024MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
160GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
    Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD
DVD +/- RW Drive (read/write CD & DVD)
    4-cell 24WHr Li-Ion primary battery
    Dell Wireless 1397 Mini Card (802.11 b/g)
    No Bluetooth Upgrade
1.3 Mega pixel Integrated Web Camera

Also I should prob say that my budget is around 500e

    Thanks a million!!!:)

Don't buy that laptop. It's a heap of crap. How about the laptop for 499 on this page:Dell Inspiron 15
Far superior to the one mentioned in your post OP.

Ah, thanks so much! Didn't even see that or realise that loads of the necessary bits and pieces are included in the price! Straight away I can see it's a better deal. Thanks a million, really appreciate the help :)
