How can ESPN and Channel 5 buy the Europa league rights if Setanta already bought them?

Wht difference does it make to five is Setanta have the rights? Setanta only have rights for Ireland. The last I checked five was not available here officially. It may be possible that ESPN will be showing different games to Setanta.

Yeah but as ESPN broadcast into Ireland too I don't know how that will work because they will surely at some point have the same game as TV3 or Setanta Sports.

Just went onto the Setanta website and they seem to have removed the Europa league advertising.

3e are showing the Celtic match next Thurs along with highlights of the others later on.

TV3 have probably moved coverage of Europa League to 3e due to Emmerdale and Coronation Street now being on from 8-9.

According to the above website, the celtic game has been moved to 3e
its a disgrace with 29% of analog tvs don't have 3e

I do not see how it is a disgrace. The vast majority of Sky and UPC subscribers have the channel. It is two foreign teams playing so I see no reason for why it should be on TV3.

I have sky but I dont subscribe to the entertainment package which means I dont get 3e.

Personally theres nothing on that channel to watch.

Why dont they do what itv do and delay cornation street.
