I have 2 small jobs need doing asap, and am trying to get around paying for 2 call out charges!
One is a gas hob; was disconnected to fit new kitchen, just needs to be switched back on, its a 2 min job but needs a certified gas engineer.
The other is to wire a tv point with some co-ax cable, a simple job I'm told.

Is there any chance of getting these done together? Can anyone recommend a person or company?
If not, can anyone recommend someone to do either job in the East Meath area, I need someone fast and cheap!

    Thanks.

Sky installer told me I needed a general electrician to wire the tv point, not a tv specialist.

Which is why I mentioned that I needed a a certified gas engineer in my OP, the electrical work is the secondary point.

Not trying to be rude, but do you actually have anything to contribute?

Holy sh*t jaybird calm down....davelerave is dead right in saying that "there's not much crossover with gas and tv"
A good truck driver will probably make a good van driver.....but that doesnt mean he will make a good brain surgen! Plumber/gas installer is a different trade to an electrician.
If you want to do it on the cheap pull in the coax cable yourself and get somebody to terminate it for you.. its only a 5 minute job..the big part is routing the cable.

wrong -a certified gas installer doesnt have to be a plumber -to apply for and get training on the gid /gas installer course
you have to be a craftsman and show evidence of trade -this can be any trade ,there are lots of mechanics out there doing gas installs ,plenty of sparks (havent heard of a carpenter yet) plumbers etc

Hi Jay, Google or go into a sky shop a TV Point is easy to do. With the greatest respect of course. The gas is a 2 min job as you note but your insurence will cover you for a new house with a certified gas installer :)

    www.rgii.ie

is the gas installers web site. Why dont you phone a couple of them and ask them do they know anything about fitting TV points? They might do the TV point as a nixer and the gas as a professional.
