Exporting car to UK

I know cars are cheaper in the UK and exporting seems like a waste of money but I was wondering how easy it is to take a car from here up north. Does anyone know the proceedures and or fee's ?

Also if its exported up north and say in a couple of years imported back to ROI would it be liable for VRT again ?

    Thanks

No you don't have to pay vrt on return to ROI

The UK / NI don't have VRT so it's only about £50 admin fee for re-registering the car.

If it's brought back to ROI then no VRT is liable and the car is re-assigned it's original reg number.
