Where can I test out clubs for free?

    Hi folks,
Where in the Dublin (or sourounding counties) can I test out a good selection of clubs?

McGuirks have a testing bay, but it's €30 for 30 min under the guise of a fitting, other than that you can't just try out clubs from the shop.

    Thanks.

All decent proshops will let you test clubs in my experience.
Also try american golf (tallaght / dundrum).

McGuirks have quite a selection of demo clubs at the Kinsealy Grange

When I told the Pro at Black Bush (Dunshaughlin) that I was interested in new set of irons, he allowed me to try a 6 iron of all the different models, then fitted me for shaft flex, upright, grip.

I wasn't forced into purchasing the irons (Burner 09 irons), he just told me what they woudl cost, got a good discount (a good deal cheaper that McGuirks, UK online shops), so purchased them off him.

presume other pro's woudl do the same, they just tape up the clubs to prevent them getting marked.

Also tried out various drivers out there. good service.

The pro at the leopardstown driving range lets you take out whatever you want. I took out 8 drivers there a while ago and had a crack of them all before deciding

Yeah most driving ranges will let you take your pick of what they have, but alot also host demo days where manufacturers bring in every club and every combination in flex, lie, loft and whatnot.

Well worth keepin an eye out for!!!!
