    Hello All,

I know new posters on a site always start with a question just to annoy people but....I have a few questions that some of you might be able to help me with if you dont mind.

I am trying to figure out the working week and types of work (shift/day/home/factory etc.) for a refrigeration technician/HVAC engineer.

What kind of remuneration is there, hourly rates et., any perks normally associated with the job? etc.

Is there a market for these skills in the country still, as in are there lots of refridge techs outta work?

I know its a long shot but are there many free-lance techs out there self employed and such?

To explain myself a bit I have been offer a chance to complete a second trade and am wondering if it would be a good career move. I have 15yrs xp a marine engineer/fitter turner.

I look forward to any replys and any sage advice.

    Best regards,

    Brian
