Hyundai problems

    Does anyone else witha hyundai find that it won't go into second after a while?Happened to me and one of my friends.Is it just me or do they have a sh*t gearbox?

    Sh1t gearbox. Well known for it. 2nd just crunches all the time when changing up from 1st and 4th and 3rd on the down change too. Be happy its not a diesel, they destroy their flywheels aswell.

    This might get you nowhere but I'd scream at Hyundai. Its a very common known problem and they know it all too well. Of course be polite but dont be afraid to tell them that you know plenty of people that this happened to and that you know well how much of a problem this is. See what response you get from that.

    OP its a common problem with the Trajet Diesel.

    Hyundai found out that the 2nd gear synchro was faulty.

    There is a modified synchro available but to be honest I doubt you`d get it under warranty--what year is the car?

    If its low mileage and was never taxied Ive seen them cover them on a 50/50 basis.

    Worth a try.
