I've been thinking for a while that it might be useful to have a single sticky'd thread where people can post about their comics. This is awkward to do without directly contravening the "no advertising" rule on the site, but if we can keep things orderly I think the benefits would outweigh the problems. So here's the deal:

If you have a comic coming out that is either independent or small press (ie you are paying for it to be printed up and own it), you can post details about it in this thread. This thread is NOT open as a free-for-all for all Irish creators. If your work is appearing in a licenced comic or as work-for-hire, this is not the thread for you. This is for self-publishers only.

Your post should contain the following information:

    Name of comic:
    Name of author (as listed):
Brief description: (1-2 lines at most)
    Date of release:
    Format:
    Price:
    Link to further details:
Cover/promo art: (optional; all images should be worksafe)

    Important things to note:

Your post should NOT contain the names of individual shops where your comic is on sale. Such details should be posted on the page whose link you include in your post.
If your comic is published under your real name, that's the name that should appear in your post. (If this is a problem, PM me before posting and we can work something out).

The idea is to try and build up a catalogue of Irish small-press & independent comics, so that someone new to the scene can have a look at what's out there now and what has been out in the past.
