I switched from ITV1 (W. County) to ITV-HD and back again during The Fixer last night - hardly noticed any difference. Anyone else?

I used ITV1 W.County as this appartantly has the highest bit rate.

It's interesting you should bring this up, a similar reduction in PQ has happened to BBC HD.

However ITV HD have not decreased their bitrate, instead they have chopped their resolution significantly to 960x1088. IIRC it was 1440x1088.

I supposed it can be described as HD'ish.

We know they want to launch ITV1 HD on Astra 2D before december, so that's what they may be up to. The big problem with that however is that their trying to squeeze it on there may result in rubbish PQ. :(

I watched Celtic v Arsenal on ITV HD the other night and it was outstanding....as good as Sky Sports HD at Old Trafford on Saturday last....
