looping sky rf feed through another sky box

    I have a Sky+ box feeding a number of other tv points around the house using the RF out function.

    I want to add the spare sky box I have into the setup, basically to allow one of the rooms to watch different channels (while still having access to the Sky+ feed also)- but there's no satellite feed to this room so I need to locate the digibox elsewhere

    With the cabling setup in the house, the simplest method seems to be to loop the output from the Sky+ box through the digibox and send the RF out from that to the room in question (obviously different RF channels for each box).

    |Sky+|RFout---->RFin|Digibox|RFout---->TV

    Will this work, and if I add a magic eye, which box will it control?

    Your eye wont work unless you use the RF2 to TV and then it will only control the last box in sequence.

    You could look for a Global Sky Combiner, you input the RF2 from each box into this, then you can distribute through a link amp. the eye at each TV set will control each box then. Obviously this only works when using 2 different type boxes.

    nah that should work fine - I can get by with just the new box working with the magic eye, the existing Sky+ is in the next room anyway. Thanks.

    I used to get them, from CPC, but unfortunately they do not seem to stock them anymore. Here's another link.

    Another way to do this is to connect the 2 Receivers together change rf output channel on 1 receiver and use MARMITEK POWERMID XL to change channels
