I swung my friend's irons earlier...he had Golf Pride grips(Golf Pride Whisper to be exact)...wow,they felt so great...they felt like they stuck to your hands...so much better than my old 15 year old grips...i now believe that i've being holding onto my clubs a little too tightly...
can they be bought in dublin anywhere? Expensive???

    Zak.

I got advice here a few weeks about where to buy and put on yourself,
I bought Ping grips from this site and you can get double sided tape of them,I used white spirit's instead of Golf grip solvent( does the same job)
You can get great advice on you tube just put in regipping golf clubs)
I did them myself and had a vice to hold clubs,
I got great satisfaction and got the lads to give opinion and as good as getting them done by a golf shop but alot less cost.

    15 year old grips............

Look online and buy your own grips and do them yourself.

There have been several threads on here about how to put on new grips.......it's pretty easy.

oh,i don't know if i'd want to risk that having never done it before...i'd prefer to pay a pro to do it knowing that the job's been done right...

I used my old starter set to get the re-gripping right and then did my Callaway's. Great feeling knowing you did it yourself.

Lads/lassies, i know ye'll laugh but i was out last weekend when i ran out of drink on the course.
I asked the brother for a drink, he threw an unopened bottle of lucozade to me which i opened only to get the fizzy sugary stuff all over my glove.

Best grip I ever had for the rest of the round:pac:

Just noticed my own golf pride grips getting a little 'shiny' and slippy on one or two clubs in the bag (ones that I use a bit more than others at the driving range). Can you rough these up or should I consider replacing. They're the standard tour velvet that come on my titleist AP2s. They're only a little over a year old.

Give them a good wash in warm soapy water. If that doesn't help then i'd replace them.

Yeah a wash will get you another while out of em. When you dry them with a towel they should go kinda sticky. After a while though they'll go rock hard. Deffo need to change them then.

My supplies arrived from gamola golf this morning. Gona re-grip my fairway wood tomorrow maybe.

This is a very easy job to do yourself. Plenty of instruction vids on the web. Look one up to get an idea whats involved.
